Our Story
It started with a wine kit
under the Christmas tree.
Seventeen years ago, Deanna Truehart gave her husband Jim a winemaking kit. The first batch of raspberry wine was, in Jim's words, a disaster. He read everything he could find, planted cold-hardy vines built for Minnesota winters, and kept at it.
Gold and silver medals in amateur competition followed. Then something no one saw coming: the Minnesota Governor's Cup, twice, in 2017 and 2018. Northern Hollow became the first winery ever to win it back-to-back.
Today the whole family pours, cooks, and plays host. When you visit, you're not a customer. You're company.

Weddings & Celebrations
Say it in the vines.
A ceremony at the vineyard's edge. Cocktail hour as the light turns gold. Dinner and dancing in an event room made for two hundred. Northern Hollow hosts a handful of weddings each season, so every one gets the whole Hollow.
Birthdays, showers, corporate escapes and milestone toasts are welcome too. If it deserves a raised glass, it belongs here.
